We need a change

A beautiful, and wonderfully unusual commercial directed by Johan Renck for H&M. Really stood out from all the shouty stuffy ads around it. It also makes me wish I was a woman, so I can get excited too.

D&AD Awards Judging - Plenty of video, not much craft

April 30th, 2009 · No Comments · advertising, copywriting, design, ideas, online, work

Last Tuesday morning I went along to Olympia to join my fellow judges in our inflateble igloo. It was predictable, I guess, that so many of the entries relied on rich video and the entries from Tokyo had seriously big budgets. However, it was good to see work where the idea was king. The kind […]

Green shoots

April 8th, 2009 · 1 Comment · advertising, environment, film, ideas, online

At the Creative Social last week we were each given a slightly dodgy looking can with some dry soil in the bottom - I did feel a bit of a tramp wandering home through Camden with an old can of cider in my hand, but Bedwood actually looked like one. Next morning I placed it in a sunny spot, […]

Some nice little touches, like, if you select female, an option to invite a friend appears. Also when you finish doing your business, an upload bar shakes from side to side.
i need to go (i-n-g?)

Le lait est bon pour vous!

October 19th, 2007 · No Comments · advertising, animation

This French ad to get kids to drink more milk made me smile. It has a simple idea and a bonkers execution. My favourite combination. We could do with a little more fun in the UK. We think too much about how straight the clients are, and end up presenting a safe option.
So, next time you […]
